Planeteer Alerts[]

First Planeteer Alert
Alert

Kwame: When planning a landscape for a home or business, keep the environment in mind.
Ma-Ti: Grass for lawns and gold courses requires huge amounts of water, which is scarce in many places.
Gaia: Every region has plants that will adapt to local conditions. So if you live in a drought-prone area, landscape with plants that do not need a lot of extra water.
Linka: By using plants suited for your local environment...
Ma-Ti: You can have a beautiful yard.
All: The power is yours!

Second Planeteer Alert

Gaia: We can reduce air pollution if we all do our part.
Linka: Using mass transit is one way.
Wheeler: Yeah. Ride the train or a bus whenever you can.
Captain Planet: Carpooling is another great way to cut down on air pollution.
Gi: If your area doesn't have mass transit, ask your parents or a teacher to write your local government and ask for it.
Ma-Ti: It is up to each of us to make a difference!
All: The power is yours!

Significant Moments and Facts[]

  • This episode makes numerous references to A Christmas Carol.
  • The butler Boris strongly resembles Uncle Fester from the Addams Family.
  • This episode is unique that it mostly focuses in the Eco-Villain rather than the Planeteers. The episodes Meltdown Syndrome and Hollywaste also focused in and established some background for Duke Nukem and Dr. Blight respectively, but even them were not so focused on the villain. Furthermore, in this episode, the Eco-Villain is defeated by a supporting character with no significant input from the Planeteers or from Captain Planet.
  • There is no power combining scene to summon Captain Planet as it had been done off-screen. Once the Planeteers escape the water trap, the following scene shows Captain Planet disguised as a party guest.
