- The Earth is a rocky planet in the Solar System, and the third planet from the Sun in order from the star it orbits. It's the home of humankind, many species of animals and plants, the spirit Gaia, the superhero Captain Planet and is the main setting for the Captain Planet and the Planeteers stories.
